In September, we decided to take a hike (literally!). The weather was beautiful one weekend, but we live in Washington where the weather can change in a heartbeat, so we took advantage when we could. Papa knew of a great hike near the base of Mt Rainier so Celeste, Bryan, Papa and I took the kiddos there. Maddy stayed behind with Nana (Adam had a work thing and I couldn't deal with all three kids on my own) but Jack and Olivia loved the hike. Well, they loved it until their feet got tired.

Rix did really well on the hike. Mostly when he was in the front of the pack, but he was a great leader!
