Jack's 6th Birthday

Holy moley, I remember when this kiddo was born, like clear as day. Jack was a chunk! He had bright red hair that the nurses couldn't stop talking about. He had these two huge dimples that were out-of-this-world adorable. He smiled at everyone and was fearless.

Funny how Jack still has all those things. He is almost the same size as Olivia and is plain solid. He's going to make me money doing football or something. We still get stopped all the time out in public by people (usually older women) who just can't help but touch his hair. His dimples get him out of a lot of trouble too. And he still is fearless, it just manifests itself now as nonstop energy.

First came the family party. Jack wanted Funfetti cupcakes and I was totally up for that. Easy peasy. We ate cake and ice cream, opened presents, and the cousin wore each other (and the rest of us) out.

Next came his "friend" party. Adam and I had a genius idea to let Jack pick out his own cake at Walmart. It was some of the best $20 I've ever spent. In between working and trying to organize a party, I was in need of something to sacrifice on and Jack was more than happy to not have me make his cake. He loved the Star Wars cupcake cake from the store much better!

We let the kiddos play with legos until everyone got there, then played "Pin the Lightsaber on Darth Vader". It was fun and Jack got to keep the poster.

Jack always covers his ears when people sing Happy Birthday. So don't get offended when he does it to you :)

Jack with some of his friends. And Aunt Celeste was a great help!

The chaos of Happy Birthday singing.

Happy birthday buddy!

Jack's fave color is: blue
His fave TV show: Ben 10, Phinease and Ferb and Gravity Falls
He loves: Star Wars, legos and the Wii (that is an understatement)
His fave dinner is: pancakes and crunchy tacos
His fave restaurant is: McDonald's and Red Robin
When he grows up he wants to be: a dentist like his daddy

Jack HATES: sauces (ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, etc. He really only likes Ranch), sleeping in, socks that go above his ankle, any pants that aren't jeans, collared shirts, getting off the Wii, when someone is mad at him, losing at something and picking up his toys.

Jack LOVES: his family, anything on the Wii or Nintendo DS, hiding things, taking baths, swimming, going to the fair and going on the scary rides, cuddling with mom when he is up too early, learning to read, going to school, playing with his friends, winning.
