So..... the Regional Science Fair came and went. We learned a lot from last year's science fair. Like, bring snacks, the DS charger and lots of patience. Oh, and the journal for Olivia. Last year we didn't bring the science journal with us (we were actually never really told we needed it) and she was not eligible to place because of that. So this year, we had TWO journals, just in case.
For some reason, it seems Adam always has something going on the same weekend as the science fair, so for the second year in a row, I lugged all three kids to PLU on my own. Celeste had all her kids too. I think it's a conspiracy. We brought snacks, Nintendo DS, iPad, iPhones, and lots of crayons and stuff. We survived! Both Olivia and Rix did well and we ended up leaving after they were done. We didn't want to stay for the show in between the judging ceremony with all our kids being hungry and tired.
Turns out Olivia won SECOND place! Oh well, she still got a certificate and a bug catcher prize delivered to the school. She was very happy to win, I wish we had stayed for the ceremony. I really didn't think she would have won anything or we totally would have!
Jack and Cole sharing Celeste's iPad. The boys were pretty good as long as they had a phone or iPad to play with.
Madelynn is a DS-aholic. She's sadly pretty good and loooves the DS. It's time for an intervention.
Olivia by her board. She had to sit by herself for a couple of hours and entertain herself. She brought books and crayons and did very well!
