2nd Grade Play

All the 2nd grade classes put on a play at the school this year. It was "The Emperor and the Seed." Olivia had a small part, but was super excited to be in it anyway. She had to memorize two sentences, which she had down within the first couple of days, and would practice it every day until the play (which was over a month away). Since being in the Kirtland musical and several plays here in Washington, Olivia has no problem with stage fright or anything. She was excited to dress up and be in the play!

Olivia and her BFFs Alyssa and Madeline (yes, it was confusing to have her sister and friend have the same name. She was either called "Madeline my friend" or "Madeline" rhyming with "fine" as opposed to "Madelynn" rhyming with "bin". Get it?)

Sometimes the kids thought something was really funny. Like a kid forgetting their line or talking too loud into the microphone.

Ethan (in the red), and Rix had good roles. Ethan, who is Rix and Olivia's friend, was the "Emperor" and Rix was the boy whose seed grew.

Olivia's part! She did awesome, even if the microphone was so high she had to get on her tippie-toes!

Rix had a lot of lines to memorize and did great too!

Olivia sure misses her friends!
